By car:
There is very little car parking on the site itself.
The nearest car park to the Department is the Grand Arcade Multi-Storey Car Park, previously known as the Lion Yard car park. There is also the Queen Anne Terrace car park in Gonville Place.
Driving in Cambridge is not recommended - narrow picturesque streets were not designed for motorised transport - but there are park and ride schemes on the outskirts of the city.
Some roads in Cambridge, including Silver Street, are closed to traffic by rising bollards

By bus:
Tennis Court Road is a ten minute walk from the bus station and a 30 minute walk from the railway station. From the bus station, go towards the big John Lewis department store, then go down Downing Street which is at the side of the store. Just past the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Downing Street becomes Pembroke Street. Turn left into Tennis Court Road and walk until you come to the building on your right.

By train:
From Cambridge railway station, you may choose to walk or get a taxi. If walking, go towards the city centre, past the war memorial and along Hills Road. Turn left just after the Catholic Church and walk down Lensfield Road. After passing the Scott Polar Museum and the Department of Chemistry, turn right into Tennis Court Road. Walk until you come to the building on your left.
