Nanoflower for CO2 capture
Members of the Combustion Group have had a paper published in Energy & Environmental Science entitled, "A high performance oxygen storage material for chemical looping processes with CO2 capture".
They report a novel route of preparation of nanostructured metal oxides and their high performance in chemical-looping combustion, a novel process for CO2 capture. The materials and strategy are also promising for many other applications, for example, catalysis, CO2 storage, electrochemistry, and drug delivery, some of which are closely related to research activities of several groups in the Department.
The paper's authors are Qilei Song, Wen Liu, Christopher D. Bohn, Ryan N. Harper, Easan Sivaniah, Stuart A. Scott and John S. Dennis.
