Ian Wilson has recently been appointed as Editor-in-Chief (Food) of the IChemE journal, Food and Bioproducts Processing. He takes over from long-standing editor Ken Morison (University of Canterbury, NZ) and joins Nigel Titchener-Hooker (UCL) as joint Editor-in-Chief.
Food and Bioproducts Processing focuses on the safe processing of biological products, and that includes food. Much of Ian's research interests are inspired by the challenges in this area so it’s a journal he has published in regularly.
He said, "The journal is particularly important to me because it demonstrates one area in which chemical engineering has a key part to play. Everyone needs food, so there will always be a need for FBP."
