Dow Sustainability Challenge Award for Sina Bonyadi

Sina Bonyadi is one of three winners of the 2009 Dow Sustainability Innovation Student Challenge.

The challenge seeks to reward ongoing interdisciplinary research that addresses global sustainability challenges and Sina's entry was entitled Fabrication of High Performance Polymer Carbon Nano-tube Composite Membranes.

He was selected by the Dow Prize judging panel and invited to attend an awards ceremony on 27 April 2009 at the Gillespie Center, Clare College. At this event he gave a short presentation on his winning entry to fellow entrants and other academic staff.

The photograph show Sina receiving his award from Peter Berns, the Production Leader at DOW Chemical Company Limited. The prize was £6000.
