Dr Rough wins Learning and Teaching Innovation funds

Dr Sarah Rough

Dr Sarah Rough, M.Phil. ACE Programme Manager, has won £20 k of Learning and Teaching Innovation funds from the University's Teaching and Learning Support Services, in order to deliver a project entitled "Getting the best out of a one year postgraduate taught Master's programme at Cambridge". The project will provide interactive and experiencial support for students in both the taught and research components of the M.Phil. ACE course. Part of the project will be based around a number of short workshop-style training courses, led by professional skills trainer Dr Jamie Cleaver.

Dr Rough says "This is a real boost for the M.Phil. ACE course, which will allow us to expand our teaching and learning provision for the students. Not only do we aim to develop the students' taught and research study skills so that they can learn, adapt and apply their knowledge to Chemical Engineering problems, but also to provide the opportunity for students to gain a variety of soft skills which can be transferred to all aspects of any career they choose."
