Outstanding charity work

Manny Kemp and collecting bucket

Undergraduate Immanuel (Manny) Kemp has been nominated for Spicers Cambridgeshire Young People of the Year (Yopey) for his charity fundraising work.

He is in the running for the £1,000 top prize in recognition of his outstanding 1,320 hours of voluntary work and £30,000 raised for good causes, such as Children in Need. The photo shows him dressed as Batman during that collection, which included going around the department and the town.

Manny is in Part IIB of his Chemical Engineering studies and will graduate at the end of this year with an MEng.

The Yopey awards ceremony will be held in St Ives in July.
