Research projects are a major part of the coursework for Chemical Engineering students in their fourth year at Cambridge, leading to the MEng degree. On Monday, 2 March 2009, half of the class gave their presentations with the other half presenting on Tuesday, 3 March 2009.

On Monday, the winners were Rebecca Conroy and Asad Akhter with their project on Evolving fracture patterns.

On Tuesday, the winners were Michael Norton and Patrick Davies with their work on Convective heat transfer in a rotary kiln.
