Our department, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CEB), has once again been ranked the UK’s best for chemical engineering.

CEB has topped both The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026 and the Guardian University Guide 2026 for the second year in a row.

The department continues to lead the field with its innovative research and teaching in sustainability and healthcare – from clean energy and carbon capture to cutting-edge medical diagnostics.
