We have a site licence for Mathematica that allows use here in the department and at home.

To get a copy of Mathematica for your own computer, you may borrow a CD from the Computer Officers, or you may download it. If you wish to download it and make your own CD, you must first give your userid to Vanessa.

If you wish to have Mathematica installed on a department computer, you should ask one of the Computer Officers.

The Department of Chemistry has led the negotiation of an unlimited site licence deal with Wolfram for Mathematica, with 12 other institutions in Cambridge University including this department.

The licence is unlimited usage at work and home. The original agreement was for 3 years starting on 09/07/2007 and it was renewed on 23/08/2010 for a further 3 years.

This is the only piece of software that we have that has a licence of this type. All other software must be licenced individually.
