Printer locations
The information on this page applies to the New Museums Site building.
There are various printers dotted around the building, most of which are dedicated to specific research groups or members of staff. The main public access printers are in the upper and lower PC suites. The laser printers can print on A4 and A3 size pape. You may also print in colour.

All printing to PC suite printers is charged for at the rates given in the following table:

To find out how much print credit you have left, go to http://www.ds.cam.ac.uk/balance/ and put in your crsid and Raven password.
Printing to printers outside the PC suite will not be charged for on a per page basis. Costs of toner cartridges etc will be divided amongst groups on a pro rata basis.
Undergraduates:
Course materials and past exam papers are available on the web and when you print them out, it costs you 5p per sheet. To cover this cost, you are each given £10 printing credit at the start of the year. This is available for printing on department printers only .
To buy more credit when you need it,
- buy more credit with cash at the Computing Service Help desk. This is next to Computing Service Reception on floor 2 of the Cockcroft building on the New Museums Site (see the site map for details)
- use the DS-Print eCredit utility and put in your credit card details
MPhil students:
If you wish to print on printers in the PC suite, you will need Common Balance printing credit. You may get this in two ways
- buy more credit with cash at the Computing Service Help desk. This is next to Computing Service Reception on floor 2 of the Cockcroft building on the New Museums Site (see the site map for details)
- use the DS-Print eCredit utility and put in your credit card details
Postgraduates:
If you are only printing to printers outside the PC suite, you will not be charged on a per page basis. Costs of toner cartridges etc will be divided amongst groups on a pro rata basis.
If you wish to print on printers in the PC suite, you will need Common Balance printing credit. You may get this in several ways

- use the DS-Print eCredit utility and put in your credit card details, then claim back on expenses.
- fill out this form (from the forms dispenser in the lower PC suite) requesting x pounds to be charged against your project number and have it signed by your supervisor. Give the form to the accounts office on the second floor or take it to Stores in the basement. They will give you back the bottom bit of the form. You bring that voucher to Vanessa Blake or leave it in the red postbox on the wall in the lower PC suite.
Personal printing
Department and project funds should not be used for personal printing such as college or society newsletters.
