Welfare

Information Sources

Information regarding all aspects studying and living in Cambridge is available online through the University webpages and by asking the advice of staff and other students. The following links highlight sources that current students have found useful.

Concerns

Please address any concerns about your well being or your studies including, for example, academic requirements, unexpected absence or health issues with your academic supervisor or course director in the first instance. If they are not available and the matter is urgent or you would prefer to talk to someone else, you are encouraged to discuss your problem with another member of the staff, who will advise you or will put you in touch with someone who is more qualified to assist you.

Alternatively you may prefer to talk to your college tutor, whose primary concern is for the welfare of students.  If you have a serious concern you are advised to consult both your college tutor and a member of the department staff.  Please note that information imparted in confidence will not be disclosed to other people without your permission and therefore you should not hesitate to ask advice about any issue.

The University Counselling Service offers a wide range of support and guidance.
