Group members

Dr Laura Torrente is a chemical engineer. The general focus of her research is the integration of processes and development of novel catalytic routes for sustainable technologies.

She is a EPSRC Early Career Fellow and a member of the UK Manufacturing Forum.

Tamsin Bell joined the group in 2014 as a PhD student. Tamsin is a trained chemist. Her project explores the use of nanostructured alumina materials for the stabilisation of metal nanoparticles on catalytic applications. Her project is partially funded by SASOL.
Dr Kejun Wu joined the group in 2016 as a Research Associate. Kejun is developing novel manufacturing technologies for the large-scale production of metal nanoparticles using microdevices. He combines fluid dynamic simulations and experimental data for the development of novel reactor configurations.
