Following on from the success of the first Research Day last year, The Postdocs of Chemical engineering and Biotechnology (PCB) are organising the second CEB Research Day on Tuesday 12th January 2016 in Robinson College.
This event aims to bring together the Department's research groups through a series of talks and research project poster presentations covering a wide spectrum of on-going research activities. In addition, bringing industry and academia together will facilitate a better understanding of the current scientific objectives and help foster collaborations among individual groups and with potential industry partners. The event will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase the broad range of research activities carried out across the three departmental sites but also an opportunity to interact with group leaders, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students as well as to share ideas, engage students and early career researchers, forge new and innovative links with industry and to explore opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration
During the event, we will discuss our most stimulating research encompassing as diverse topics as Materials and Processes, Healthcare, Modelling and Metrology.
The Department cordially invites its academic cohort, postdoctoral researchers, PhD students and assistant staff to take part.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to discuss ideas with participants in order to identify new and emerging challenges that will define the future of specific research fields.
Coffee and lunch will be provided at break times.
