Oil refinery planning and scheduling

Biography:

2015-2016: MPhil in Advanced Chemical Engineering, University of Cambridge.

2009-2014: BSc in Chemical Engineering, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Research Interests

Process Systems Engineering group, Dr Vassilios Vassiliadis

My research work is concerned with the development of optimisation models for the integration of the different decision-making levels within process industries; namely planning, scheduling and control. In particular, the focus of my project is to develop novel algorithms to address the integration challenge for the case of oil refineries by using different mathematical programming models, such as mixed-integer programming (MIP), nonlinear programming (NLP) and dynamic optimization (DO).
