Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology

CEB building

Showcasing groundbreaking research and innovation at the interfaces of engineering, chemistry, biology and physics.

With research spanning sustainable reaction engineering, chemical product and process design, healthcare, measurement, and materials science, CEB combines leading biotechnology research with chemical engineering skill, taking fundamental ideas from concept to application.

In this open three-day conference, hear from our PhD students, post-doctoral researchers and academics, as well as invited plenary speakers, exchange ideas and build new collaborations. We will bring together researchers and academics from across the University of Cambridge and our extensive network of academic and industrial collaborators. With the participation of reknowned keynote speakers such as Alexei Lapkin (CEB, University of Cambridge), Marc-Olivier Coppens (University College London), and Eileen Gentleman (Imperial College London).

23rd of June. 9:00-9:30 am. Opening keynote by Prof. Eileen Gentleman, Healthcare section. Title: Modular hydrogels in organoid-based disease modelling.

24th of June. 9:00-9:30 am. Keynote by Prof. Marc-Olivier Coppens, Advanced Chemical Engineering section. Title: Nature-Inspired Chemical Engineering for Process Intensification.

25th of June.12:00-12:30 am. Keynote by Prof. Alexei Lapkin, Sustainability section. Title: A vision of sustainable world from the perspective of systems science.

A poster session will be held during the afternoons.
