The department will be running a virtual masterclass on Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology supported by Cambridge Admissions Office.
Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology plays a very important role in tackling the biggest global challenges in sustainability, energy and the environment, and healthcare. Chemical engineers are problem-solvers - they develop and design chemical manufacturing processes applying the principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and maths to solve problems involving the production or use of chemicals, fuel, drugs, food, and many other products.
This event will give Year 12 students some information about the discipline and put chemical engineering and biotechnology into context by giving relevent examples of practice and applications. Our academics and students will also be at hand to answer questions about the course, applications, and admissions.
