In support of this global campaign to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) on 23 June, the Department will be hosting some mini-presentations from inspiring women at CEB on Monday 18 June 2018.

Aim:  CEB supports women from a variety of backgrounds and walks of life to choose to study, innovate and succeed in chemical engineering and science, and ultimately help tackle global problems. We  take this opportunity, not only to celebrate the female talent in-house and their achievements,  but also inspire and encourage other girls to consider Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology as a career for them and become  "Engineers and Scientists of the Future".

All-female CEB Focus Editorial Team: Chief Editor Elena Gonzalez with PhD students Gemma Siddall and Sina Schack and undergraduate Bahumi Motlhanka with CUCES Publicity Rep Izzy Bentley
Programme of activities:

2.30-3.30 pm CEB Women on Chemical Engineering and Science (Weston Lecture Theatre)

Valuable insights and experiences will be shared by CEB women studying and working in STEM:
Undergrads Bahumi Motlhanka and Izzy Bentley, PhD students Rhian Preece and Liwei Cao, Postdocs Dr Amberley Stevens and Dr Sureyya Ozcan.

3.30-4 pm “Draw and Engineer/Scientist” competition over tea and strawberries and cream (Atrium).
