The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Sensor Technologies and Applications presented a prototype pulse oximeter sensor. This sensor was built as an exercise for master students with backgrounds across different natural sciences and engineering to support their understanding of basic sensor principles. The exercise included the optical detection of biological parameters, electronics and signal processing.
