1. Spore McNugget - Manganese surface modified bacterial spore by Ke Xu Zhou

SEM image of a single B. megaterium spore covered with manganese dioxide nanoparticles. These spores were produced with a sequential salt-alkali-acid wash process and possess very interesting physical properties.
