Skills event

skills event The Esso Skills Event was held on Monday November 26th, 2001. It began with a presentation to the team who submitted the best Design Project this year.

Senior staff at Esso then presented hints and tips on interview skills, aptitude tests and generally how to sell yourself on paper and in person. The attendees are in their fourth year at Cambridge. They will be graduating with the MEng degree next summer and so they are applying for their first jobs at the moment. The Skills Event has the very serious intention of helping them in that search for employment, but the evening was described by one attendee as "light-hearted and good fun".
