2013 BRSG-NMR DG Annual Prize won by Dr Jonathan Mitchell

Dr Jon Mitchell

Dr Jonathan Mitchell, Magnetic Resonance Research Centre, Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge, for his work on investigating the applications of Magnetic Resonance to study porous materials. In addition to studying porous sedimentary rocks for improving the understanding of enhanced oil recovery processes, Jonathan is actively involved in studies of a wide range of other commercial materials including catalysts, surfactants and cement-based products.

The BRSG is the UK-based radio spectroscopy group of the Institute of Physics, London. The NMR Discussion Group is part of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Cambridge.

Jonathan will give a prize lecture at the BRSG Christmas meeting on Monday 16th December 2013 at the Institute of Physics, London.
