Major grant awarded to Bahn group by the Stanley Medical Research Institute

Prof Sabine Bahn

The Cambridge Centre of Neuropsychiatric Research (CCNR) under direction of Professor Sabine Bahn was awarded a follow-up grant of $2.9M through the Stanley Medical Research Institute (SMRI).

The Bahn laboratory is conducting an extensive research program to define the molecular basis of major neuropsychiatric disorders, focusing on biomarkers and novel target discovery with the mission to translate research findings from the bench to the patient bedside.

The Bahn lab is part of the SPECTS program (Stanley Program for Epidemiology, Prevention and Treatment of Schizophrenia). SPECTS is a close collaboration of 8 international laboratories that examine the Gene-Environment interactions that increase the risk of developing psychiatric disorders.
