last modified Mar 23, 2017 10:54 AM

Evaline Tsai, a second-year PhD student in the Cambridge Analytical Biotechnology group, received the best poster award at the 4th Analytical Biosciences Early Career Researcher Meeting (ECRM2017) that took place from 15-16 March 2017 at the University of Warwick. Her poster was about pH nanosensors based on upconversion resonance energy transfer.

The two-day event encourages the early researcher sector to learn about and present the translational applications of current and future analytical techniques in the biosciences. Plenary speakers covered topics from diagnostics to archaeology, showcasing the breadth and depth of applications that make use of analytical techniques.

The best poster award was given to the poster that provides the most engaging example of analytical bioscience, whilst conveying the technique’s relevance and potential for application in other disciplines as judged by the conference attendees and committee members of the Royal Society of Chemistry Analytical Biosciences Group.
