Dr Nicholas Darton

Dr. Nicholas Darton and his co-authors, won First Prize for the 'Best Poster Presentation' Award at the 6th BBSRC-Bioprocessing Research Industry Club (BRIC) conference in Oxford from 7-8th October, 2009.

The poster was entitled "Bioprocess intensification by microcapillary separation systems."

Nicholas is a member of the BioScience Engineering Group. Together with his co-authors Dr Nuno Reis, Dr. Christian Hornung, Prof. Malcolm Mackley and Prof. Nigel Slater he is investigating the adaptation of microcapillary films, a material developed in the Polymer Fluids lab, for chromatographic protein separation.
