Fluorescently labelled BAG neurons in C.Elegans - a simple model organism to study neurodegenerative diseases

Oliver Vanderpoorten, one of our Sensor CDT (Centre for Doctoral Training) students, recently did well in the "CDT_plural Twitter photo competition 2017". This is a photo competition between all CDTs in England and his picture, from a research collaboration with Tessa Sinnige (Chemistry Department), came second in the category #CDTInnovation.

Oliver joined the EPSRC Sensor CDT 1+3 program to conquer academia and is now doing his PhD in two-photon lithography for microfluidic chip fabrication in the Laser Analytics Group.
