CEB at the Science Festival

last modified Mar 22, 2016 05:08 PM

Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology took part in the Science Festival this weekend thanks to a fun bunch of volunteers who agreed to trade their weekend for two days of explaining our science to more than 1500 visitors.

We had a spot in the Astra Zeneca Marquee and decided to focus on one research aspect: we put together a "Future of Materials" installation.

We designed Nano-cards with the children, who used real silver and gold stained polymer for decoration and the smiles on their faces and the dedication with which they approached the task was priceless!

We explained what nano is all about to their parents and grandparents and got some really good questions there. Sensor CDT presented their pulse measuring sensor, we had 3D prints of the spores, a microscope for kids (and adults) to look beyond what the eye can see and bunch of videos and lab stories!

If you missed it, or want to see the videos again, look here

you can also tell us what you thought of it and send us your pictures.
