last modified Jun 10, 2016 03:14 PM

We are very pleased to announce that Dr Geoff Moggridge has been promoted to a personal Professorship.

Head of Department, Prof John Dennis, congratulated him and said, "This is a well-deserved promotion. The fact that there were only five promotions to professor in CUED (Cambridge University Engineering Department) and CEB combined is a great testament not only to Geoff's research insights and profile, but also to his commitment to teaching and to his contribution to the Department."

The promotion was published in the University Reporter on 8 June 2016 and will come into effect on 1 October 2016.

Geoff heads the Structured Materials group. He has a long standing interest in Chemical Product Design and some of his recent work has been on man made heart valves that could reduce need for life-long medication and an environmentally friendly solutions for aquatic biofouling pests.

He has been with this department for 21 years, becoming a Senior Lecturer in 2004 and a Reader in 2011.
