CUE business competition finalists

Christina Karapataki and Peter Roth with the Cambridge Disk Microreactor

Christina Karapataki and Peter Roth have reached the finals of the Cambridge University Entrepreneurs (CUE) £5K Entrepreneurs' Challenge.

This was announced at a cocktail party on 16 March 2010 which was also a widely attended networking event including guest speakers. The finalists had the opportunity to give an elevator pitch to all in attendance; this was followed by a poster and networking session.

Christina and Peter's business plan presents MicroDisk, a new company aiming to commercialise a new type of plastic microreactor. Christina and Peter have been researching the 'Cambridge Disk Microreactor' as part of their Part IIB research project which has involved working closely with Prof. Malcolm Mackley, Dr. Bart Hallmark and Dr. Christian Hornung as well as the manufacturers Lamina Dielectrics Ltd.

The winners of the finals of the competition will be announced in early June.
