Congratulations to postgraduate student Martin Chan who was awarded one of the poster prizes at the 4th UK Catalysis Conference on 4 January 2018.

The poster prizes were sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry and the prize winners will receive a £50 book voucher. The poster prize winners were as follows:

Martin Chan (from this department) - Chemical Looping Epoxidation of Ethylene

Arron Deacy (University of Oxford) - Heterodinuclear Catalysts of the form LZnMXn for use in polymerization catalysis

Andrew Hall (University of Bath) - Insights into Homogeneous Catalysis by FlowNMR Spectroscopy

Terri-Louise Hughes (University of Manchester) - Total Neutron Scattering of Aromatic Sorbates in ZSM-5

The 4th UK Catalysis Conference was held in Loughborough University over the 3rd to 5th January, 2018. The conference aims to bring together all who undertake research in catalysis (homogeneous, electro, heterogeneous, bio, organo) in order to develop the community as broadly as possible. 190 registered participants from across the UK as well as further afield including 4 plenary lecturers enjoyed 3 days of catalytic science and engineering.

The poster session took place on the evening of Thursday 4th January and results were announced during the conference dinner.
