Prof Lisa Hall appointed CBE

Professor Elizabeth (Lisa) Hall has been appointed CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in the Queen's Birthday Honours list announced on 13 June 2015.

Lisa is Professor of Analytical Biotechnology and Head of the Cambridge Analytical Biotechnology Group in this department. Her research work is into heterogenous analytical systems with a primary focus on molecular sensors and directed towards environmental, medical and industrial application. She is also the Chair of Disability Snowsports UK. She has been appointed CBE for services to higher education and to sport.

In all, seven distinguished members of the University have been named in this year's Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
