Congratulations to Dr Axel Zeitler and Dr Sarah Rough

Two promotions have just been announced.

Head of Department, Professor Nigel Slater said, "I am sure that you will be pleased to join me in congratulating Dr Axel Zeitler in his promotion to Reader and Dr Sarah Rough in her promotion to Senior Lecturer.  Two very well deserved promotions."

They will take up their new appointments on 1 October 2014.

Axel's research focuses on terahertz spectroscopy and imaging. He is using these techniques in particular to study the solid state physicochemical properties of pharmaceutical materials and processes.

Sarah has been teaching and researching within the Department since the late 1990s. She is the Programme Manager for the M.Phil. in Advanced Chemical Engineering and her current main research interest lies in the extrusion of stiff pastes.
