Seedcorn Fund Award for Juraj Sibik

Juraj Sibik has won a Seedcorn Fund Award from the TERANET network, towards a collaborative project with Prof Peter Uhd Jepsen, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), on studies of amorphous materials.

Juraj is part of the Terahertz (THz) Application Group and by using terahertz spectroscopy the group is aiming to understand the physical characteristics of a wide variety of materials spanning the fields of pharmaceuticals, catalysis, biologicals, nanotechnology and non-destructive testing.

The Seedcorn Fund Award is £500 and will enable Juraj to work with Prof Jepsen using his ultra-broadband terahertz spectroscopy plasma system.

TERANET is an EPSRC Network for UK researchers in terahertz science and technology.
