Summary
There is a need for ‘Identity Testing’ methods that can determine whether a manufactured solid or liquid pharmaceutical product is genuine and of the intended composition and form, or a defect or counterfeit. In addition, there is general interest in methods for characterising the composition and homogeneity of such products, for quality assurance. In this project, this topic will be addressed by combining our expertise in drug formulation with methods for quantitative image analysis and optical microscopy.
