The Industry Student Support Network is a network that brings together our undergraduate students and industry partners from across the chemical engineering and biotechnology landscape.

Membership of the Network is open to organisations of all sizes and sectors that wish to engage constructively with our students and support student-industry activity within the Department.

The network aims to provide students with exposure to a broad range of industries, organisations and career pathways.

  • Take part in careers events, offer mentoring opportunities and engage with students throughout their studies.

Your membership

By joining the network, organisations help students explore career opportunities, develop professional skills and gain insight into different industries. Our aim is to provide students with access to a diverse range of employers and career destinations, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future careers.

Standard membership – £1,000 + VAT
* Special rate for SME, spinout and start-ups

  • Membership runs for 12 months and is renewed annually in October
  • Collaborate on learning
  • Share industry perspectives, contribute to skills workshops and support student projects.
  • Help students understand how their knowledge and skills can be applied across a wide range of sectors and career paths.
  • Support future talent

* Participation in the network will not constitute endorsement by the Department or the University of any individual organisation, its products, services or business activities.
Companies will be asked to sign a Terms of Reference which will detail the terms and conditions of membership.

How to sign-up for the network

  1. Complete and submit the [online application form]
  2. Application reviewed by network's Advisory Group
  3. Successful applicants directed to University e-Sales payment platform
  4. Membership activated upon payment
  5. Get involved with events, mentoring, placements, talks, collaborations
  6. Feedback and renewal invitation sent near membership end
