CEB is hosting Open Days for prospective undergraduates (Year 12/13 sixth form students) on 4 and 5 July 2024
Our in-person Open Days on Thursday July 4th & Friday July 5th will offer subject and course information and department tours to showcase the department's student facilities and its academic offering to prospective undergraduates.
Our academics will run interactive presentations with Q&A to cover subject and course-specific information. The department tours will give you a taste of the Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology undergraduate course at Cambridge and an overview of our state-of-the-art facilities and our cutting-edge research. This will include a visit to our Teaching Lab and our Makerspace with items on display 3D printed or laser cut in-house with the latest technology, which our students have access to and learn to use during their degree. Our researchers will also tell you more about their groundbreaking work, research applications, and impact in the key areas of sustainability, energy and environment, and healthcare.
In addition, do visit the info stall in our grandiose Atrium to talk to current students and academics and get answers to your pressing questions about the course, applications, student experience and life in Cambridge.
You can also take a break between activities with a nice cuppa and a bite to eat in our Tearoom; or pop into Lecture Theatre 4 to watch sample lectures on our exciting research!
Note: Parents are also welcome.
