Driven by curiosity. Driving change

Research

The Catalysis and Process Integration group combines on catalysis and materials development with reaction engineering for the development of sustainable technologies.

A figure highlighting three core areas of research for the Catalysis and Process Integration group. These areas are: Catalyst development, sustainable technologies, reaction engineering
Research themes

We are currently focused on two main themes: Green Ammonia and Manufacturing of materials

Green Ammonia

Long-term energy storage, green fuel and green fertiliser

Manufacturing of materials

Automated flow patterns

Join the team

Join the Catalysis and Process Integration (CaPI) group

We are a diverse, multinational team with different backgrounds and a common passion for science and sustainability.  If you’d like to join the group, please contact Prof Torrente to discuss your interests and application further.

Postdoctoral Researchers and Research Fellowships

We regularly advertise postdoctoral research associate positions (PDRAs), usually through jobs.ac.uk and university webpages. We also welcome contact from prospective candidates and those interested to hold research fellowships within the team. Please contact Prof Torrente and include a CV and a brief description of your interests.

PhD candidates

We recruit 2-3 new PhD students every year. If you are interested in applying, contact Prof Torrente to discuss your application and interests. We usually fill the places in October-February for a start in the next academic year (October).

You can find information about the University deadlines and some funding deadlines at this link.
